A gathering for all men living in the Beara area will take place on Bere Island on Saturday March 29th, and will include a guided walk of Lonehort Battery, lunch and a men’s health talk with Dr Colin Gleeson.  The day starts a ferry leaving Castletownbere at 11.30am and returning at 4.30pm.  The cost is €25 each

The group are responsible for organising tourism events on the island, running the recycling centre and waste management operation and also for the island’s entry into the Tidy Towns Competition. Bere Island Projects Group have organised a white goods collection on Bere Island for Monday 20th January. Please leave any leave any items with a plug or battery at the recycling centre on the West End pier on or before Saturday 18th January in order for them to be sorted and packed in time.
