Bere Island Community First Responders Group

The Bere Island Community First Responders Group met with the Bere Island Active Retirement Group today to spread the FAST message. It is important that we all learn to recognise the signs of stroke early.

The FAST test can help you recognise the most common signs.

  • Facial weakness: Can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?
  • Arm weakness: Can the person raise both arms?
  • Speech problems: Can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?
  • Time to call 999: if you see any of these signs.

Bere Island CFR Group are continuing to spread awareness to all in our island community.
