Parking at Oileán na gCaorach is a problem. In order to ease the congestion Bere Island Projects Group are proposing the following:
Designate the spaces on either side of the shelter as ‘’No overnight Parking’’ – the two spaces on the left-hand side (west) of the shelter and the four spaces on the right-hand side (East) of the shelter.
There should be no long-term parking on the pier.
We appeal to the owners to remove boats and derelict vehicles from the parking facility. Should anybody wish to scrap their cars, we can give them contact information for a scrap dealer.
We propose to implement the revised parking facility from 9th January 2026. In the meantime, we will listen to any reasonable objections to this proposal.
