With support from the Burren Beo Trust’s Heritage Keepers programme a group of Bere Islanders are working to record an oral history of Bere Island. The group are working with Dr Angela Maye-Banbury who is a leading oral history expert and has previously compiled an oral history of Achill Island.
By recording an oral history of Bere Island we are aiming to preserve the stories of the island’s past for the future.
